Philosophy
Piano Studio of Hanna Lim Murphy offers thoughtfully tailored piano lessons that meet each student’s individual needs, learning style, and musical goals. Ms. Hanna places a strong emphasis on solid fundamentals and music theory, providing students with the tools to truly understand music. At the same time, She believes it is essential to never lose sight of the joy of learning — piano lessons should be engaging, creative, and fun. Music is meant to be played, explored, and enjoyed, and Ms.Hanna strives to foster a positive environment where students feel motivated, confident, and excited to make music.

About Hanna Lim Murphy
Hanna Lim Murphy holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy at the University of Houston. With extensive experience and a deep passion for music, Ms. Hanna is dedicated to nurturing the musical growth and artistic development of her students.
Alongside her private teaching, Ms. Hanna has enriched her expertise by serving as a Teaching Assistant for Music Theory and Aural Skills courses at the University of Houston. This role has significantly strengthened her foundation in music education. Additionally, Ms. Hanna is a dedicated accompanist, having performed for Sunday services since the age of 12. She also collaborates with various schools in Conroe ISD, contributing her talents to choir and band UIL events and performances.
With over 20 years of accompanying experience, including work with musicals and a wide range of ensemble and solo performances, she brings a broad, practical musicianship to her teaching and collaborative work.
